Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. The modeling career she began with was in Italy in Italy, where she was raised before being was born in California. Her acting debut came in 1996, when she appeared in The TV film Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle her way to a role, she got a chance as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. It was very difficult for her to transition from modeling to acting since the models werent usually believed to be actors, and they were usually given smaller and inconsequential parts. Amy was determined to keep trying. She made her way to bigger roles. She began in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Then she stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years trying. There were several major films within the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character on The Shameless series.
