
King Von was actually Dayvon Daquan Bennett. He was born in Chicago on August 9, 1994, to Walter and Taesha. Through his mother, he was the third child of three, and the father had six half-siblings. Bennett was mostly fostered by his mother , due to his father's frequent time spent in jail. He was 11 when the father of his was shot and killed. Bennett had to serve his 16th term being in jail. The incident marked the start of a series of encounters with law enforcement. Bennett was awarded college credits in the form of South Suburban College. Bennett did his best to heal himself following further legal troubles. After collaborating together with Lil Durk, Bennett released "Welcome to O'Block" which was his sole album. In the end, an album released posthumously, titled "What it means to be King" was released in the month of March 2022.
